The house is super comfortable, in a very quiet neighborhood with a Japanese atmosphere and excellent transport links. The hosts were incredibly attentive at all times.

It’s very spacious. It has two floors with the sleeping area upstairs and the living area downstairs. It was quite cold when we got there and especially the downstairs area took a while to get warm with the AC. It‘s a traditional house with tatami mats which give it a very cozy feeling. The apartment had a washing machine and a dryer which was very convenient. It also had enough hangers to hang clothes outside on the balcony. Communication and checkin was quite easy. Nothing compared to many other places in Japan. Location is quite convenient. Just a few minutes to the the Hankyu line which gets you to the most relevant places as a tourist.

Disliked

There were only two big towels. A small one would have been nice. Providing slippers would make it even better because the floor was quite cold.

"We had everything a family of four needed for daily life."

It's close to the station, making it convenient for getting around during your stay. I arrived by car, but the surrounding roads were wider than you'd expect in Kyoto, so I didn't have to worry about being too careful. Cooking was easy with the gas stove.

Disliked

I think it was written in the description, but I was surprised when I arrived and there was no TV... Two out of the four chairs in the living/dining room were simple, and the sofa had a low seat, so I couldn't make eye contact with the table. There was no underfloor heating, so it was a little less comfortable in Kyoto in the middle of winter. Of course, I don't mean it was cold.

Loved the traditional house. Lovely and cosy

Beds were very hard but I think that’s quite normal in Japan and the steep staircase was hard for my 70 year old mum but we managed
