The apartment was in a great location in Bairro Alto and the host Rui was very helpful. The apartment was very comfortable and clean. It was easy to get to the sights by public transport or walk to the cafes and bars on the streets.

Disliked

The street was quite noisy at night, but the accommodation provided earplugs for this. Most nights this noise didn't bother us too much because we were going along!

The very clean apartment has all the necessary amenities for a comfortable stay. It's close to all services: grocery store, bank, public transport including tram 28, bakery, laundromat, hair salon, restaurants, and pharmacy. It's great to be in a neighborhood where locals live, where children play in the streets, rather than in an area with tourist hotels.

Disliked

The music and noise in the street go on until very late at night... especially on weekends. Earplugs and a good dose of tolerance are essential. We understand that young people gather in the street because there isn't a large enough indoor space. We also understand that they chat, drink, smoke, and simply have fun.

It is in a relatively central area. Tram 28 has a stop very close to the accommodation. It is relatively quick to reach certain tourist areas on foot. There are shops and places to eat around. The apartment was comfortable and even had an iron. The owner was very communicative and helped us with advice and answers to questions.

Disliked

The noise. There is a bar/pub right below the apartment and one opposite. The music is very loud at night. There are earplugs in the apartment and it is ok with them, you can sleep.

Apartment very clean and well equipped. Rui who checked us in was very pleasant and informative.

Our flight was scheduled to arrive at 11pm. After booking we once we confirmed arrival time we we advised there was a 40 Euro charge for late checkin, had we known this in advance it is unlikely we would have stayed here. Apartment is above and over a bar which tends to be very noisy late at night. 4 of us in apartment, water heater did not cope with 4 showering one after the other... last persons had a very cold showers.
